But it failed, sadly and at a consequence Sega even stoped producing consoles for good – wow. Maybe the marketing was the issue:
…or it was simply the dominance of the PlayStation and the raising PS2 on the horizon and when the Xbox started in 2001/2002 there was little hope left.
Anyhow, it is sad that Sega left the console space, on the other side it was always a two player game field with a much smaller third place and nearly no possibilities for a forth player – compared to the Dreamcast where actually four players could play.
